Credential guide

If you need an RMT in Vancouver, say that before Roam reviews the request.

RMT and general wellness massage requests are not the same thing. Roam keeps credential needs visible early so appointment fit, receipt expectations, and scope are not guessed later.

What RMT means in British Columbia

In British Columbia, Registered Massage Therapist and RMT are reserved titles. If that credential matters to your request, state it clearly and verify the provider through the relevant public register before relying on the title.

Roam does not use RMT language casually. It treats RMT requests as credential-specific rather than blending them into general wellness massage.

When general wellness massage may be the better request

Some clients are not looking for an RMT appointment. They want professional mobile massage for relaxation, travel recovery, event support, or a calm private-space experience. That can still be a valid request, but it should not be described as medical treatment or receipt-eligible care unless those details are confirmed.

How to decide what to request

Request an RMT if

You specifically need a registered professional, benefit or receipt clarity, or a provider working within regulated scope.

Request wellness massage if

You want professional relaxation-focused care and do not need regulated-title or receipt-specific matching.

Ask first if

You are unsure whether the request should be credential-specific, especially for pain, injury, insurance, or medical-adjacent needs.
